Fairlington

Fairlington, located in the southernmost part of Arlington County and bordering the City of Alexandria, is a desirable neighborhood for families and first-time homebuyers. Divided into North and South Fairlington by Interstate 395, the neighborhood is home to private swimming pools and tennis and basketball courts for its residents. It also boasts a variety of dining options, shops, live theaters, a movie theater, grocery stores, and more, all within walking distance. Additionally, the W&OD Trail trailhead and Four Mile Run are easily accessible by foot or bike.

Utah Field Baseball Park, Abingdon Elementary School, and a popular weekly Farmers Market offer more opportunities for activities. The neighborhood primarily features townhouse-style condominium apartments that were built in the 1940s as the largest housing project financed by the Defense Homes Corporation during World War II.
